Overview

The Bachelor of Optometry (Honours) programme prepares students for a career in primary eye and vision care through a strong foundation in vision science, ocular health and clinical optometric practice. Students develop the knowledge andprofessional skills needed to assess visual function and eye health, support the management of appropriate conditions, and provide patient-centred care within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.

Graduates may pursue opportunities in private practice, optical retail, healthcare settings, community eye-care services and the ophthalmic industry. Upon successful completion of the programme, Malaysian graduates may apply to register with the Malaysian Optical Council, subject to applicable requirements.
