Please note that the PG Diploma in Education does not confer Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

IMU’s Counselling programme is designed to develop skilled and professional counsellors through a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach. Students can specialise in key areas such as Marriage and Family Counselling, Crisis, Trauma and Grief Counselling, or Expressive Art Therapy. Additionally, they can enhance their learning experience by participating in IMU Cares Community projects, which focus on mental health initiatives and activities aimed at promoting psychological well-being. To address the needs of a diverse population, the programme provides specialised training options in specific counselling areas, allowing students to tailor their expertise. Hands-on learning is a core component, with students gaining practical experience at the IMU Psychology and Counselling Learning Centre and other established counselling centres. Under the supervision of qualified counsellors and psychologists, students will develop the skills needed to support clients in an integrated healthcare setting, ensuring they are well-prepared for professional practice.
