About

About

The Bachelor of Education (BEd) TESOL programme at the University of Nottingham Malaysia is designed for those aspiring to teach English as a Second or Other Language (TESOL) at primary or secondary levels. Combining theoretical knowledge with practical experience, students have the opportunity to spend up to one year in an international school, refining their teaching skills under mentorship. The curriculum covers effective lesson planning, classroom management, TESOL methodologies, and global education systems, with school placements integrated throughout, culminating in an assessed school experience. While the programme does not confer UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), it provides a solid foundation for teaching in regions where QTS is not required, opening doors to global education opportunities.
